Cookies & Local Storage Policy

This page explains in simple terms how Cyne App uses cookies and browser local storage to keep your account safe and make your browsing experience smoother.

1. What are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer or phone when you visit a website. Local Storage is a modern tool built into your browser that lets websites remember your preferences. Cyne uses both tools strictly for technical performance and safety—we do not use them to spy on your web history.

2. Keeping Your Sessions Synced

When you use our web platform, we use temporary tokens inside your browser's storage to keep you securely signed in. This configuration ensures that you do not have to retype your password every single time you click a different page or check your available balance.

3. Remembering Your Theme Selection

We use a small local storage variable named cyne-theme to remember whether you prefer using our platform in Light Mode or Dark Mode. This variable reads instantly when a page loads, preventing your screen from throwing an uncomfortable bright white flash if you prefer using dark mode elements.

4. Safety Guard Integrations

Because our app enforces a strict single-device session lock to prevent fraudulent wallet drain activities, browser cookies help us verify that your active routing window is valid. Remember, your available balance cash-outs will remain entirely frozen until you complete our compulsory identity check by matching your valid BVN or NIN details inside your profile hub.

5. How to Manage Your Settings

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings (like Google Chrome, Safari, or Brave) at any moment. However, please note that if you completely turn off storage capabilities, our web terminal will not be able to recognize your profile login state, and certain conversion tasks might fail to load properly.
